CONGRATULATIONS… YOU HAVE BOOKED YOUR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

 | Congratulations! you have booked your Wedding Photographer  |

Thank You for choosing Little Moment Photography to be a part of your special day. I understand that you had a choice from many photographers and you chose us to share your day with. As you know we are a husband (Kris) and wife (Lucy-Blue) team with Lucy as our Studio Photographer and myself mainly shooting Weddings and outdoor shoots. We love shooting Weddings together and most of our couples book us both (Lucy as a 2nd Photographer). Now that you have your photographer booked, you may be thinking “whats next” so we have put together this little page to help 🙂

 |  Lets Keep In Touch  |

We love keeping in touch with our couples and social media is great for this. If you use Facebook, we will create a group chat with both of you, myself and Lucy using Facebook Messenger, so we can all keep in touch and keep the conversation in 1 place. If you don’t use Facebook, don’t worry… we are more than happy with emails and phone calls. Feel free to ask us any questions you may have whether it be photography related or not.

Keep us up to date with all the awesome details and plans for your big day. We also get excited over our couples big day and we love hearing about all the details.

  Client Portal & Questionnaires

As you can imagine, sometimes speaking with so many couples… it can be a little confusing from time to time. Not to worry, we use an online management system (called Studio Ninja) where we store all the details of your big day and you have access to your client portal. You may have already used the system (its where your contract, invoices etc are stored) From time to time, you may receive emails with links to questionnaires in your client portal. Please complete the questionnaires for us so we have all the details we need for your big day in one place. Please note that if anything changes, you can always go back and update the questionnaire.

  Pre-Wedding Shoot

Our pre-wedding shoots is something extra we add to all of our packages, this gives us the chance to meet up a few weeks before your big day, have a catch up, go over the plans. and get some great images of you both. We would usually look to arrange this shoot 4-8 weeks before the Wedding which will start the ball rolling towards the big day but we will be in touch closer the time to get something arranged.

Have a think about where you want to go, is there somewhere that is special to you both? Where did you both meet or is there a hobby you share together, A local park that you visit a lot? Feel free to think out the box, lets go to the zoo, or Blackpool pleasure beach.

The shoot is completely optional and will be dependent on availability & weather. We are happy to reschedule when possible. In regards to weather, we usually wait until the night before the shoot before making a call whether to go ahead or not. As long as its not raining, it should be good to go ahead with the shoot. After a few attempts, if the weather is determined to ruin our shoot, we can either crack out the umbrella’s and brace it… or head back to our home studio for a shoot and a hot drink. Quite often, we can get booked up for weeks in advance and due to hen-do’s & stag-do’s etc, it can be difficult to arrange a date/time for your pre-wedding shoot. We usually suggest if we have not been in touch 3 months before your Wedding date, please get in touch with us to arrange a date & time for your shoot.

YOUR WEDDING COVERAGE – AT A GLANCE

  Bridal Prep

We will usually arrive around 90-120min before your ceremony time, giving us plenty of time to get some shots of your shoes, dress, jewelry, flowers etc and lets not forget you and your bridesmaids having your hair & makeup done. If you have already started getting your hair/makeup done, not to worry, we can always mock a few shots if needed. If you are not getting ready at your venue, we will take into account travelling time and arrive a little earlier.

  Groom Prep

If Groom prep is requested, We will usually arrive around 60-90min before your ceremony time for. As you can imagine, guys don’t need as long to get ready (less hair and makeup… for most :p )  – Timings can be different from 1 Wedding to the next but this is just a rough guide.

  After the Ceremony

We hate to rush you, so we thought we best give you some rough times to help you plan. We can always tweak these if needed. Straight after the ceremony, everyone will want to congratulate you and have a quick chat. We will usually leave 15-20min for this while we go around the room grabbing some candid shots.

If you have opted to have some formal group shots, this is when we will grab everyone and get them outside for these. We normally allow around 30-40min for the formal shots. We ask for a list of around 10 shots so we can make sure we have enough time to get them all done. You are not limited to these 10 and if more are needed, we can arrange these on the day (time permitting). – Add 10min for a confetti shot

We will then take you both away for your couple portraits. We usually allow around 20-30min for these as we take a walk around the grounds of your venue getting some super cool shots of you both. If your venue does not have any gardens, you may with to go to a local park. In that case, I would add another 20min for travel.

In an ideal world, with all the timings above. We suggest leaving around 90min between your ceremony and Wedding Breakfast. If you have time, 2 hours would be perfect, giving you lots of time to mingle with friends/family and will leave plenty of time for shots

  Wedding Breakfast

While you guys are having your Wedding Breakfast, we will slope off for a break, switch memory cards, backup images and charge camera batteries. Speeches before or after your Wedding Breakfast? – Totally your choice. Some opt to have it before their meal so its over and done with. From a Photographers point of view, this is always perfect for us so we don’t miss anything. If you traditionally decide to have them after your meal, that’s totally fine… we will make sure someone from the Venue knows where we are and to come and get us.

  After the Wedding Breakfast

There is usually a couple of hours before the evening reception starts. If you have arranged some entertainment, we will love to get involved and of course get some great images for you during this point. We don’t want to constantly have a camera in everyone’s face all the time, so depending on the time of year and the weather, we may grab you guys for a couple of creative sunset shots and give your guests a break from the camera.

  Your Evening Reception

We will be with you until your cake cutting/1st dance (usually around 8:30pm – 9pm). If we feel like we have enough shots of everyone, we will call it a night at this point, come and say goodbye to you both and leave you to enjoy the rest of your night. If we feel like we don’t have a lot, we will stick around for a bit longer providing people are still dancing and having a good time 🙂

Our coverage ends there, but as we would have no doubt mentioned in our consultation with you. We are flexible on how the day runs and what you want from us, so feel free to shake things up a little and we will just go along for the ride.

AFTER YOUR BIG DAY

  Delivering Your Images

The main thing you will want to know is ‘when will I receive my images’.

In general we say the complete process will usually take around 4-6 weeks, up to 8 weeks in peak season (Jul-Sep). To help bridge the gap while you wait for your images, we like to keep you up to date with an image or 2 each week via social media while we are busy editing the rest of your images. If you would rather us not put anyting online, no problem… just let us know.

  Albums

If you have ordered an album, you will receive instructions on how to choose your images. Let us know when you have chosen your images and we will get to work designing your album. We will show you a preview of the album before sending it to print. Once ordered, we estimate 3-5 weeks for delivery.
