Bridal Prep at Home
We arrived at Emma’s parents house for prep to quickly be reminded how important it was to be early for prep…. we just missed out on the breakfast butty’s 😂😂😂. I love prep at peoples homes.. its always more relaxed and intimate and its always great for getting true emotion with the brides parents in the family home. Plus we had a stunning back garden to work with :).
St Andrews Church Ceremony
It was great to finally have a church Wedding again. It feels so long since we have shot a church ceremony so it was great to finally get some amazing shots in the church. I can’t believe I dropped my camera :o… luckily my lens hood took all the shock and force away from the short landing.. GASP everyone in the crowd. Luckily this happened before the Ceremony started and we always carry backup gear. Even better, after a quick test, everything was fine and undamaged.. but lesson learnt.. I will never leave the house again without my harness.
Wedding Portraits at Bartle Hall
As I said above, Bartle Hall is great for portraits, there is always plenty of areas to shoot. Although we were short on time, we just HAD TO get a few shots with Peter’s tractor which he had brought along earlier that day. I couldn’t stop laughing when we realised Peter’s tractor had a gearbox problem.. after we got his brother to drive it into position.. only to ask for it to be move 1 more meter… which is when my face sank… it would no longer go into 1st gear. Peters poor brother had to reverse it all the way over to the barn side of the venue, do a U-turn, reverse all the way back past us, do another U-turn and then put it into place (1 meter from where he started). I remember saying to Lucy (who was up on the balcony. I hope this shots worth it :p
Evening Reception at Bartle Hall
Emma & Peter had went all out for their guests providing great entertainment, a pick n mix stand to keep the full of sugar and even had baskets full of blankets for the guests who got a little cold and flip flops to keep everyone dancing long into the night.
Evening Portraits at Bartle Hall
Its always nice to get some night portraits and Bartle Hall is great for this with plenty of lighting around it gives us plenty of opportunity for some extra portrait shots before we end the night.
